Noob Resort

Beginner friendly

Noob Resort is modded to create both a great learning environment as well as bring some challenging events. All framed in a unique setting, promoting social interaction.

You can have some offline raid protection added to your base by paying with Scrap. The raid protection is reachable by opening the TC. If someone tries to offline your base while it is protected it will first drain the protection-scrap before doing damage to the base. This means it is still possible to do offline raids while it is more expensive to begin with.

Connect

You find Noob Resort in the “Modded” category in the server browser. If you are a fan of connecting directly, paste the command bellow into the console (F1):

client.connect 193.187.91.101:28018

Protect your base from raiding

  1. Open up the inventory of your TC.
  2. Click on the tab named “Protection”.
  3. Drop some Scrap into the TC and use the buttons to pay for protection.
  4. Your base will now be protected for the amount of time specified.

Customized monuments

We have made changes to most of the monuments, making all of them useful. Some now require a keycard to find all loot, some have just gotten the loot boosted. Some have gotten unused areas filled with useful things, some has gotten better protection in the shape of Scientists.

Better economy

Rust has changed a lot over the years and some of the implemented features are known to break the Scrap economy. We have made changes to fix this. For instance, you can sell crops at Bandit Camp – any crops – but you can’t sell Fertilizer. Farming is still a very valid way of getting rich, but it actually requires growing vegetables.

Old school research

All tech trees in Workbenches are disabled on Noob Resort. To create a Blueprint of any item one needs to acquire the item and put it into a Research Table, along with the required amount of Scrap.

Grab a car – or ten

Cars spawn close to roads and they come with a variety of modules. On Noob Resort they spawn with engine parts pre-installed. To find the best parts you will have to salvage many cars, or get them from other players.

Night time gathering bonus

Gathering resources during the night will bring in the double (x2) amount of metal ore and stones. This works for woodcutting and harvesting animals as well. Boosts from drinking Tea stacks with this bonus. The time (game time) between 19.00 and 07.00 counts as nighttime. The top raiders from previous month gets this bonus during daytime as well.

You can build on water

To get started, head over to the Large Fishing Village and spend some Scrap in the Vending Machine “Offshore Base Building”. Use the floating foundations to set up a base out at sea. You can even build down from the surface and into the deep if you wish. If you set up some Netting you can start hauling in some free loot as well. Beware of sharks.
